Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College (BAVMC) is a government medical college located in Pune, Maharashtra. It was established in 2022 and is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

 

Courses offered

The college primarily offers undergraduate courses in medicine and surgery. 

• MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery): 4.5 years + 1-year compulsory internship.
• MD/MS: 2/3 years. 

Admission

• Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (minimum 50% for General Category, 40% for Reserved Categories).
• Entrance Exam: NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate).
• Counselling: Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling, conducted by the Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell.

Campus and facilities

• Attached to the Kamla Nehru Hospital, a newly opened hospital by the Pune Municipal Corporation.
• Hostels for boys, girls, and staff are available, with a total of 283 rooms accommodating 657 people.
