Caspian International School of Medicine

The Caspian International School of Medicine (CISM) is a medical school in Almaty, Kazakhstan, established in 1992 under the umbrella of Caspian University. The school primarily offers a medical program for international students, with a significant number of Indian students attending.

Affiliation and recognition: CISM is recognized by several major international medical bodies, including:

  • National Medical Commission (NMC) in India
  • Medical Council of India (MCI)

 

Eligibility & Admission Requirements 

  • Minimum age: usually 17 years old by December 31 of admission year

  • Completion of 10+2 with subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Minimum marks in PCB around 50% for general/unreserved category. 

  • Must qualify NEET exam (for Indian students) to be eligible to sit for FMGE/NExT etc.

  • Medium of instruction: English.
  • Courses offered:
    • MBBS/MD (Doctor of Medicine): A 6-year program, which includes five years of academic study and a mandatory one-year internship.
    • The curriculum is designed to meet international standards and prepares students for licensing exams like India's Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).
