It was founded in 2012–2013 by Dr. Azad Moopen under the DM Education and Research Foundation to improve healthcare access in tribal and hilly areas.

  Spread over approximately 35–50 acres, the campus includes academic blocks, hospital, auditorium, library, hostels, labs, and a botanical garden (Naseera Garden). Features such as a gym, sports facilities, cafeteria, research centers, and simulation labs support comprehensive learning.

• Teaching Hospital
  Connected to a hospital with 550–720 beds, offering both essential and super-specialty services to communities across Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

• Courses Offered

  • Undergraduate: MBBS program of 5.5 years with 150 seats.

  • Postgraduate: MD and MS programs in multiple specialties.

  • Additional Programs: Paramedical diplomas, nursing, and pharmacy.
