• Heritage & Foundation: The Jubilee Mission Hospital began modestly in 1952 as a small dispensary established under the Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur. Over time, it evolved into a multi-specialty institution known for compassionate, accessible care—affectionately called the "Poor Man’s Hospital" for its commitment to the underprivileged.

• Medical College Establishment: Recognized as a teaching hospital by the Medical Council of India (MCI) in 2003, the Jubilee Mission Medical College commenced operations the same year.

• Administration: It is a private Christian minority institution managed by the Jubilee Mission Hospital Trust under the Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur.

Affiliation & Mission

• Academic Affiliation: Linked to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). 

• Ethos: Guided by the motto “Service with Love,” the institution emphasizes compassionate care, especially for underprivileged patients, often offering concessions and rejecting extra charges.

  • Approximately 1,500 total beds, including 300 ICU beds and 22 operating theatres. 

  • High annual outpatient volume (~1.35 million visits) across 25-acre urban campus in central Thrissur.

• Courses Offered:

  • MBBS: Recognized for 100 seats, the college began academic activity in 2003. 

  • Postgraduate: Offers around 16 postgraduate seats (total ~35 across specialties). 

  • Super-specialty: Provides DM courses totaling 2 seats across 3 super-specialties. 

• Research Centre (JCMR):

  • The Jubilee Centre for Medical Research (JCMR) is integrated into the institute, focusing on advanced fields such as Genomics, Proteomics, Liquid Biopsy, Computational Biology, and related disciplines. Recognized by India’s Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO). 

• Admission Cutoffs (Management Quota, MBBS):

  • Category-wise cutoffs for NEET-UG in 2025 vary from 460 to 609 marks depending on the reservation category.
