National Medical College Nepal

National Medical College is a private medical institution located in Birgunj, Nepal. It was established in 2001 and is affiliated with Tribhuvan University's Institute of Medicine. The college is a popular option for international students, particularly from India.

• Accredited by: National Medical College is recognized by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and its degrees are accepted by medical councils in various countries, including India's National Medical Commission (NMC).

Infrastructure & Facilities

• The campus is about 40 acres with all facilities on one campus: teaching hospital, academic buildings, hostel, library, staff quarters etc.

• The teaching hospital has ≈ 1,050 beds. 

• Hostel facilities:

  • Boys hostel: ~500 single-seated furnished rooms with attached toilet and small pantry. 

  • Girls hostel: ~400 single-seated rooms similarly well furnished. 

  • Mess / canteen facilities, indoor/outdoor games, gym, etc.

• Library: double-story, capacity ~250 readers.

 

 

Admissions

• Indian students: Must have qualified for the NEET-UG examination.
• Nepali students: Must pass the Medical Education Common Entrance Examination (MECEE).
• Other requirements: Eligibility also depends on meeting the academic qualifications set by the Medical Education Commission and the college.
